Accident claims life of a 3-year-old

On May 20, at approximately 2:37 p.m. the Izard County Dispatch recieved a report of a 3-year-old male being ran over by a tractor in a logging accident on property of Knob Creek Road in Melbourne. Emergency personnel responded to the scene and began life saving efforts. The child was pronounced decieased a short time later. The name of the deceased is being withheld at this time pending notification of the family. The case is under investigation by the Izard County Sheriff's Department.
