IZARD COUNTY REPORT SHERIFF EARNIE BLACKLEY

According to Chief Deputy Charles Melton, on December 20, Deputy D.J. Tiernan responded to a one vehicle accident at the intersection of Honeysuckle and Johnson View Road in the Wiseman area. As a result of the investigation of the accident, Mary Helen Messer, age 34 of Horseshoe Bend, was arrested and charged with careless driving, driving left of center, no seat belt, no proof of insurance, driving while intoxicated, and refusal to submit. Messer was given a court date of January 23, 2020 in the Izard County District Court on these charges. Messer also had a container of Oxycodone in her possession that were not prescribed to her. She was also charged with possession of a controlled substance, a class "B" felony. Messer was given a court date January 14, 2020 in the Izard County Circuit Court. Messer's bond was set at $20,000 on all the charges.

On December 22, Deputy Jason Jordan made a traffic stop on a vehicle on J Bar J Road near Zion. During the traffic stop a bag containing, what later field tested positive for methamphetamine, and a glass pipe, commonly used to ingest methamphetamine, were located inside the vehicle. As a result, Donald Lee Martin, age 42 of Violet Hill, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both charges are a class "D" felony. Martin's bond was set at $10,000 with a court date of January 14, 2020 in the Izard County Circuit Court.

On December 20, Lena Branscum, age 39 of Calico Rock, was arrested by Deputy Tyler Webb on a warrant for failure to appear. Branscum was given an OR bond with a court date of January 9, 2020 in the Izard County District Court.

On December 20, Richard Valenzuela, age 57 of Horseshoe Bend, was arrested by Sgt. Mike Smith for domestic battery. Valenzuela was given an OR bond with a court date of January 7, 2020 in the Izard County District Court.

On December 20, Christina Marie Miles, age 51 of Hot Springs, was arrested by Deputy Sean Tomlinson for driving while intoxicated and refusal to submit. Miles bond was set at $820 with a court date of January 23, 2020 in the Izard County District Court.

On December 21, Trebor Dylan Broyles, age 22 of Melbourne, was arrested by Deputy Dennis Hutchins for contempt of court. Broyles is being held with no bond and a court date of January 14 in the Izard County Circuit Court. 

On December 23, Nicholas Adam Staggs, age XX of Melbourne, was arrested by Deputy Austin Grayham on a warrant for battery 3rd degree. Staggs was given an OR bond with a court date of January 9, 2020 in the Izard County District Court.

On December 23, Jordan Edward Hammond, age 24 of Salem, was arrested by Deputy Jason Jordan on a warrant for theft by receiving. Hammond's bond was set at $1,000 with a court date of January 23, 2020 in the Izard County District Court.

On December 23, Gearl Dale Adams, age 34 of Mountain Home, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear. Adams' bond was set at $635 with a court date of January 9, 2020 in the Izard County District Court.

On December 24, Hollie Ann Wall, age 36 of Salesville, was arrested for contempt of court. Wall is being held on no bond with a pending court date in the Izard County Circuit Court.

On December 25, Jeffrey Norwood Mason, age 40 of Horseshoe Bend, was arrested by Deputy Jim Davis for domestic battery. Mason was given an OR bond and a court date of January 7, 2020 in the Izard County District Court.

On December 28, Machele Margeret Melton, age 56 of Oxford, was arrested by Deputy Tyler Webb for domestic battery. Melton was given an OR bond and a court date of January 23, 2020 in the Izard County District Court.

On December 29, Ryan Allen Borg, age 27 of Glencoe, was arrested by Deputy J Barnes for driving without lights, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Borg's bond was set at $2,515 with a court date of February 4, 2020 in the Izard County District Court.

On December 29, Brenton Nicholas Needle, age 33 of Horseshoe Bend, was arrested by Sgt. Mike Smith for public intoxication and disorderly conduct. Needle's bond was set at $460 with a court date of February 4, 2020 in the Izard County District Court.
