MELBOURNE MEN HELD IN HOME INVASION AND ASSAULT
Robert Alan Sanchez, age 30 of Melbourne is being held in the Izard County Detention Facility pending formal felony charges relating to him invading a Melbourne home and assaulting a female acquaintance during the very early hours Sunday morning. According to Sheriff Tate Lawrence, the female who is pregnant was seen in the emergency room of a Batesville hospital. Another man, Sergio Rodriguez, age 31 of Melbourne is also being held pending charges. Rodriquez accompanied Sanchez to the female’s home.
In another assault case, Amelia Irene Peek age 33 of the J Bar J community near Melbourne was arrested as the result of assaulting two adult family members. Peek is charged with two counts of battery third degree. Peek remains in the Izard County Detention Facility pending an appearance before District Judge David Miller.
A Sunday morning call to the Izard County Sheriff’s Department resulted in the arrest of Billy Leon Smallwood, age 46 who is staying at a residence near Mt. Pleasant. Smallwood was charged with domestic battering third degree. Smallwood was arrested at his place of employment in Batesville. Smallwood remains in the Izard County Detention Facility pending an appearance before District Judge David Miller.
