Chief Deputy Earnie Blackley issues vests to Senior Deputy Gabe Sanders and J.T Baker
Deputies of the Izard County Sheriff’s Department receive their new protective vests that were provided by a 50% matching grant from the U. S. Department of Justice. These vests will replace the vests previously worn by deputies. According to Sheriff Tate Lawrence, protective vests have a useful life of fives years. Uniform officers of the sheriff’s department are required to wear these undergarments vests when on duty. Non uniform officers ware the outside vests when the situation so dictates. These vests were earlier fitted to the individual officer to provide maximum protection and comfort.
