Izard County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Earnie Blackley is pictured holding some of the more than 76 pounds of expired prescription medicine that was turned in April 28 during the national drug take-back program. This is the fourth year that Izard County has participated in this program which allows the cleaning out of medicine cabinets, preventing the drugs from getting into the wrong hands. These drugs will be turned in the 16th Judicial District Drug Task for proper disposal. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that he appreciated the great participation.
