A Pineville woman, forty six year old Missie Diane McVey was arrested October 10th on the charge of shoplifting.  According to Izard County Sheriff Tate Lawrence,  McVey is accused of attempting to take a meat item from Harp’s “Grocery in Calico Rock without paying for it.  In district court on Thursday McVey admitted to crime and was found guilty.


Billy Wayne Griggs, age 40 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested October 8 on the charge of possession of a controlled substance.  Griggs appeared before District Judge David E. Miller on October 11 and was released with a court date.


Around midnight Saturday, Deputy Acy Beebe was dispatched to a location on state highway 9 north in response to a call that someone was lying in the road ditch and it was believed the person was dead.  Instead, an intoxicated woman was located and after emergency medical services were called, the woman was transported to the Izard County Detention Facility.  Rhonda Dockins, age 46 of Brockwell was arrested on the charge of public intoxication.  The following morning, Dockins was released and given a court date.


Joseph Allen Wolford, age 36 of Calico Rock was arrested the morning of October 10 when Deputy Phil Story responded to 292 Jones Street in Calico Rock following a compliant that a male at that address was out of control and causing a disturbance.  Wolford, according to his mother, was being verbally abusive and threatening.  When confronted by Deputy Storey, Wolford continued to use vulgar language and smelled strongly of intoxicants.  Wolford was charged with disorderly conduct , posted bond Sunday in the amount of $205 and was  released from the Izard County Detention Facility.


A compliant said that he discovered a male subject in his yard when he was leaving for work Sunday morning and offered the individual a ride. When the passenger would not get out of the vehicle, the compliant drove to the Izard County Sheriff’s Department for assistance.  As the result, Shane Daniel Lambert, age 29 of Viola was arrested by Sheriff Lawrence  and charged with public intoxication-drugs. Lambert, when arrested, tested positive for methamphetamine and remains in jail.  At the time of his arrest, Lambert was out on bond from a previous circuit court drug related charge.  Bond for Lambert was revoked.


Jennifer Michelle Justice, age 25 of Cave City was arrested Sunday on a violation of Arkansas hot check warrant.  Justice posted a cash bond the day of her arrest in the amount of $511 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.


Charlene Loretta Ashcue, age 38 of Oxford was arrested October 10 on an Izard County failure to pay fines warrant.  Ashcue appeared in Izard County District Court the following day and posted bond from court.


Henry Pete Heikes, age 46 of Calico Rock was arrested October 9 on the charge of failure to pay fines.  Heikes appeared before District Judge David E. Miller the day of his arrest and was released with a court date.


Crystal Ann Townsend, age 26 of Ravenden Springs was booked into the Izard County Detention Facility October 11 after being picked up from the Sharp County jail to answer the charge of failure to pay fines.  Townsend appeared in court and was returned to Sharp County authorities.


In lieu of $2505 cash bond, Timothy Michael Roark, age 24 of Salem remains in the Izard County Detention Facility following his October 12 arrest on the charge of failure to pay fines.
