Around 10 o’clock Saturday night, Deputies Kevin Helm and Acy Beebe were dispatched to Court Side Apartments in Melbourne in reference to a possible breaking and entering in progress. Deputies observed that the door to apartment #3 was open and noises could be heard coming from within the apartment. When announcing themselves as “Izard County Sheriff Department”, a female identified as Tanya Turner came from a back room of the apartment and when asked if anyone else was in the apartment, Turner answered “yes”. Another female later identified as Laura Grass came from inside the apartment. There was apparent damage to the door fame of the apartment indicating that the door had been forcibly opened. Turner, age 43 of Melbourne, and Grass, age 34 of Glencoe were arrested for residential burglary, taken to the Izard County Detention Facility and placed on a hold pending formal charges. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that Tuner has frequent encounters with local law enforcement. Deputies responded Wednesday night, October 17 to a residence in Franklin following a compliant of a domestic altercation. Deputy Phil Storey met the female compliant across the highway from her house in a church parking lot. The compliant advised Deputy Story that Michael Smith, age 39 of 166 East First Street, Franklin had yelled at her and stated that he threatened to kill someone but did not say who. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that it is also alleged that Smith had fired two shots from a firearm into the wall of the residence and when the compliant advised that she wanted a divorce, Smith said he could kill her or anyone else and make it look as if it was an accident. Deputy Story, assisted by arriving Deputy Justin Matthews arrested Smith on the charge of domestic battery 3rd degree and placed him in the Izard County Detention Facility, where he remains, with an additional hold for possible other charges. Deputy Mark Simino was dispatched the morning of October 17 to a residence on Robert Cemetery Road in Franklin in response to a disturbance call involving Tori Reiley. Reiley’s brother said he had confronted his sister about her behavior and drug abuse problem and a verbal argument began. Reiley, who a fled the residence before deputies arrived was later located some one quarter mile away beneath a roadway bridge. When placed into custody, Reiley appeared to beery erratic in behavior and spoke freely of being under the influence of Oxycodone that she had injected earlier in the day. Sheriff Lawrence said that Reiley was transported to the Izard County Detention Facility and charged with public intoxication-drug and arrested on a Horseshoe Bend warrant. At the time of her lockup, Reiley tested positive for opiates, marijuana, methamphetamine, and ocycodone type drugs. Reily remains in the Izard County Detention Facility. Nicole Helene Caselli, age 23 of Viola was arrested Friday night and charge with possessing an instrument of crime and driving left of center. Caselli posted bond the following day and was released with a court date from the Izard County Detention Facility Donnie Ray Woodcock, age 31 of Calico Rock was arrested Friday on a contempt of court warrant. Woodcock remains in the Izard County Detention facility in lieu of a cash bond in the amount of $1000. Tony Lynn Conway, age 43 of Violet Hill was arrested Sunday night for driving on a suspended license and a hot check warrant from Baxter County. Conway posted bond in the amount of $1,079, given a court date, and released. Steven Keith Wheeler, age 41 of Brockwell was arrested Sunday night on a misdemeanor Craighead County warrant. Wheeler was released by Craighead County authorities and given a court date. Dawn Christine Eheart, age 35 of Gassville was arrested October 16th on violation of Arkansas hot check law warrant. Eheart was later transferred to Ash Flat to answer charges in Sharp County. Misty Dawn Morgan, age 30 of Oxford was arrested October 16 on a warrant charging her of violating the Arkansas hot check law. Morgan was released by Sheriff Lawrence after being given a date to appear in court.
