The Izard County Sheriff’s Department was notified around 10 o’clock Thursday night that a shooting had taken place on Iuka Road off highway 5 north of Calico Rock. Upon arrival, deputies were directed to the victim, identified as Josh Loosey,  age 30, who was later pronounced dead at the scene. The victim was located in a wooded area on property thought to be owned by the Loosey’s.

Harvey Loosey, 49 years of age  of Calico Rock and Patricia Sutterfield, age 43, address uncertain  were taken into custody by sheriff’s deputies.  Sheriff Tate Lawrence  said that an apparent long running family dispute lead to the death.  The victim is the nephew of Harvey Loosey and. Patricia Sutterfield is thought to be  a girlfriend of Harvey Loosey.

Sherriff Lawrence said that both Harvey Loosey and Patricia Sutterfiled remain in the Izard County Detention Facility on an investigative hold.  Izard County authorities and the Arkansas State Police continue the investigation.  Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.
