After being on the run for several weeks, Ricky Ray Lake, age 34 of Melbourne was arrested in the Ozark Missouri area. Lake had a felony failure to appear warrant in Izard County Circuit Court to answer charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of drug paraphernalia. Lake also had outstanding warrants from Horseshoe Bend for failure to appear on no vehicle license, no proof of insurance and possession of an instrument of crime. Lake was transported by Transport Officer Y. D. Whitehurst March 23 from the arresting agency to the Izard County Detention Facility where he remains on a $10,000 cash bond. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that Lake had been in and out of the Izard County court system several times during the past few years. In an earlier Missouri arrest, Tanya Turner, age 43 of Melbourne was arrested Thursday and transported to the Izard County Detention Facility to answer felony charges of failure to appear relating to an earlier charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm. According to Sheriff Tate Lawrence, Tuner is known to run with Ricky Lake and both were earlier arrested on the original charges at a Melbourne motel. Sheriff Lawrence said that Turner has a history of numerous encounters the law enforcement. Tuner remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $10,000 bond. Leeland Branscum, age 45 of Pineville was arrested Sunday on charges of domestic battering third degree and child endangerment second degree. Branscum remains in the Izard County Detention Facility pending an initial appearance and bond hearing in Izard County District Court. Deputies Carl Russell and Kevin Helm were the arresting officers. Nathan Lee Hellums, age 22 of Melbourne was arrested March 20 on charges of speeding, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Hellums posted bond the day of his arrest in the amount of $2,540 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility. Ezekiel Josh Kipfer, age 18 of Easley Mountain Road in Melbourne was arrested March 19 on charges of having no driving license, operating a vehicle without license plates, and operating a vehicle without insurance. Kipfer posted bond the day of his arrest in the amount of $790 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility. Sheriff Lawrence reported that Trystin Robert Howell, age 24 of Horseshoe Bend was incarcerated March 21 after appearing in Izard County District Court on numerous misdemeanor charges. Howell was sentenced to six months in jail and fined $1,900. Five months of the sentence was suspended. Alexander Blake Rouse, age 20 of Salem, who was earlier convicted on theft of property charges was transported March 18 to Arkansas Department of Community Corrections to serve a court imposed sentence.
