On Friday while assisting Arkansas Game and Fish Commission Officers who observed a parked vehicle with a smoking device and a container of copper wire in plain view and women nearby , the Izard County Sheriff’s Department arrested Jolynn Mandel,age 28 of Calico Rock. Mandel who admited also having marijuana and methamphetamine in vehicle was charged with possession of a controlled substance-meth and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to Sheriff Tate Lawrence, Mandel is being held in the Izard County Detention Facility on a $20,000 bond relating to the drug charges and on a criminal investigative hold relating to possible stolen items. Another of the women, twenty nine year old Heather Runae Roemmich, also of Calico Rock, is being held in the Izard County Detention Facility on a criminal investigative hold pending theft related charges.
