06/28/2013 HOME VISIT RESULTS IN FELONY ARRESTS |

As the result of a home visit at a residence in Brockwell by officers of the Arkansas Department of Community Corrections, the Arkansas State Police, and the Izard County Sheriff’s Department, the occupants of the residence have been arrested. The visit conducted June 25 at the residence of Cortney Jennings, who is on parole for a previous felony conviction, and Rilee Jennings, his wife have both been charged with possessing drug paraphernalia, a class “d” felony. Additionally, Cortney Jennings has been charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, also a class “d” felony. According to Sheriff Tate Lawrence, during the probation/parole search, a loaded .22 caliber handgun was located in a night stand of the bedroom shared by the Jennings’s. Drug paraphernalia with residue that tested positive for methamphetamine was located on the dresser and night stand located in the same room. Additionally, a .22 Caliber rifle was located in the couple’s truck located at the residence and a .30 caliber rifle was located in a shop building located behind the residence. Rilee Jennings, age 28 was released with a court date in Izard County Circuit Court and Cortney Jennings, age 34 remains in the Izard County Detention Facility on a department of corrections hold.
