09/16/2013 HUSBAND AND WIFE ARRESTED ON TRAFFIC STOP |

While on normal patrol September 9th, a deputy met a vehicle he believed was being driving by a person who had an Izard County misdemeanor warrant. When turning around to make the stop, the driver stopped his vehicle, exited and ran into a nearby wooded area and left his wife in the vehicle. The individual was identified as Jerry Dickerson who in fact was wanted and the wife, Jeana Dickerson, both of Dolph had outstanding warrants as well in Futon County and Baxter County for failure to appear and possession of an instrument of crime. Jerry Dickerson was captured a short time later with the assistance of the Arkansas Department of Correction’s Calico Rock Unit dog team. Meanwhile, during an inventory search of the vehicle incidental to the arrest, Chief Investigator Charles Melton discovered a purse on the passenger side of the vehicle containing a bag with white a white granular substance, four syringes and metal spoon which all field tested positive as methamphetamine. Jeana Dickerson was charged with possession of methamphetamine, a class “d” felony and possession with the intent to use of drug paraphernalia, also a class “d’ felony. Jerry Dickerson is being held on warranted charges of failure to appear, fleeing, and an out of state felony warrant. Jeana Dickerson, age 43 remains in jail in lieu of $10,000 and Jerry Dickerson, age 43 is held in lieu $3,000.
