Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that during the past couple of weeks there have been numerous reports of dogs gone missing and it is highly suspected that the missing have actually been stolen. Most to the stolen dogs are of a small bread house dog and are quality dogs taken when they are let out of the house for a few minutes.  Indications are that the thieves are working mostly in the north western part of the county and in Baxter County. In some cases it appears that that maybe the place from where the dogs were taken was cased out beforehand because many of the places are at dead-end roads.  Anyone having any knowledge of who could possibly be taking these dogs or anyone seeing a strange vehicle in the north western  the area where the dogs were reported missing are asked to call Chief Investigator Charles Melton at 870 368 4203.
