An alteration between two brothers on Friday at an apartment complex on Dixon Street in Melbourne resulted in injury and arrests. John F. Woodall, age 43 of 110 Dixon, Apartment 4022 and brother Joshua Shane Woodall, age 39 of a nearby apartment have apparently being in a long term dispute with each other that culminated in fight involving a knife used by John Woodall. According to information obtained on the scene, John Woodall lunged toward Joshua throat with a small pocket knife and while attempting to reflect the knife from his throat, Joshua received a severe cut to one of his hands. Both were arrested and charged with domestic battering third degree. Both were released from the Izard County Detention Facility on Sunday and given a court date after appearing before District Judge David E. Miller. Keith Allen Richardson, age 23 of Batesville was arrested December 12 on theft of property charges. The charges relate to his taking of copper wire from a farm near off highway 56 near Calico Rock. Matthew S. Coffman, age 33 of Oxford was arrested Thursday on an Independence County warrant. Coffman posted a $10,000 bond and was released with an Independence County court date. Sarah Michelle Parker, age 28 of Batesville was arrested around 10:00 p.m. the night of December 10 and was charged with failure to display proper lighting, endangering the welfare of a minor, fleeing, and resisting arrest. Parker remains in the Izard County Detention Facility pending a mental screening. Two inmates in the Izard County Detention Facility were charged with battery third degree following an altercation between the two. Eric Miller received a laceration to the lip and was transported to a hospital emergency room. Austin Patterson, the other inmate involved in the altercation did not require medical attention. Amanda Nicole Miller, age 25 of Cave City was arrested December 4 on an Izard County bench warrant with a bond of $10,000 and a hold from Independence County. Miller remains in the Izard County Detention Facility. Melissa Jean Casey, age 33 of Melbourne was arrested December 2 on a drug court infraction and was sentenced to serve a seen day commitment. Jessica Marie Essex, age 30 of Hollister, Missouri was arrested December 3 on a Dallas County, Missouri warrant and was extradited December 14 to Missouri.
