A Horseshoe Bend man was arrested Thursday for drugs during a traffic stop. Jerry Dickerson, age 44 was arrested after a k-9 alerted to the front of his vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, an amount of methamphetamine and scales were located in the breather compartment of the vehicle’s engine. Dickerson remains in the Izard County Detention Facility pending formal charges. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that Dickerson is on parole having been released from prison with the past couple of months.

Brittany Ann Burch, age 27 of Salem was arrested Friday on a warrant charging her with theft of property- two counts. The charges stem from Burch writing checks to the Franklin General Store on a closed account.

Annie Jane Morris, age 45 of Melbourne was arrested Saturday for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Morris remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $1,310 bond.

Matthew McQueen, age 25 of Cave City was arrested May 12 on the charge of failure to pay fines. McQueen remains in the Izard County Detention Facility.

Mary Katherine Dehli, age 32 and James Edward Filchack, age 40, both of Oxford were arrested May 13 on the charge of endangering the welfare of a minor following a compliant that a two year old was roaming the neighborhood carrying an axe. The small boy was under the supervision of the couple and was reported to be wandering the area during the rain. Both were charged with endangerment second degree. The pair appeared before District Judge David E. Miller, given a court date and released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

William Shawn Keasler, age 40 of Salem was arrested May 13 on the charge of domestic battering third degree. The charge stems from Keasler and his estranged wife getting into an argument that escalated into physical altercation.  Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that alcohol was a contributing factor.

 A Calico Rock woman, twenty six year old Jamie Nichole Loosey, age 26 was transported May 16 to the Arkansas Department of Correction to serve a court imposed sentence. Loosey had been incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Facility since October 13, 2013.
