William Winston Taylor, age 43 of Calico Rock was jailed following his sentencing in Izard County Circuit Court on August 4.  Taylor was sentenced to 16 years in the Arkansas Department of Correction on two charges of sexual assault in the second degree. Taylor will be transferred to prison when bed space becomes available.

Dianna Carol Hall, age 53 of Marshall was arrested August 4 and later formally  charged with possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia, both class “d” felonies. Hall remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $10,000 bond and a Searcy County hold.

Ericka Lynn Stephens, age 24 of Emerald Lane in Horseshoe Bend was arrested August 5 on charges of driving on a suspended license and unauthorized use of a vehicle. Stephens posted a $300 cash bond August 8, given a court date and released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Matthew Bruyette, age 53 of Violet Hill and Mary Ellen Conklin, age 37 of Cave City were arrested Friday night at Bruyette’s residence  at 3930 Blevins Road , Violet Hill following Sgt. Acy Beebe and Deputy Richard Williams responding to the report of domestic violence. Bryuette and Conkling gave conflicting statements as to what had occurred following an argument between the two and both had physical injuries. Both appeared the following day before Izard County District Judge David E. Miller and were released with a court date.

Garrett Cole Passmore, age 25 of Fifty Six was arrested Saturday on the charge of criminal trespass and a probation/parole hold was placed on him by the Arkansas Department of Community Correction. Passmore remains in the Izard County Detention Facility without bond.

James H. Northrup, age 71 of Agnos was arrested August 8 on the charge of domestic battering third degree. The charge stems from Deputy Mike Smith being dispatched to a Horseshoe Bend residence where an altercation was taking place. According to Sheriff Tate Lawrence Northrup and his recent wife got into an argument over their vehicle license plate that escalated into a physical altercation. Northup was released from the Izard County Detention with a court date

A domestic altercation at a Calico Rock apartment complex over the weekend resulted in the arrest of Leah Renee Shaver, age 36 of Calico Rock. Shaver is accused of stabbing a male companion which required hospitalization. John Webb age 36 was ticketed for the same offense. Shaver remains in the Izard County Detention Facility pending an appearance before a judge.

Jacob Frey, age 25 of Brockwell was arrested August 8 on a non-support warrant and a Baxter County hold. Frey remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $2,500 bond.

Carl Robert Bickford, age 63 of North Bend Drive, Horseshoe Bend was arrested late night August 6 on the charge of driving while intoxicated. Bickford posted bond the following day in the amount of $605, given a court date of September 9, and released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Shane A. Bowlin, age 30 of Mountain Home was arrested August 5 on charges of terroristic threatening and stalking. Bowlin posted bond August 7, given a court date, and released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
