A Melbourne woman was arrested December 2 and charged with delivery of controlled substances. Marcia Lynne Lunsford, age 53 is accused of selling controlled substances from her 411 Larkin Road address on two separate occasions. According to Sheriff Tate Lawrence, on one occasion Lunsford sold 20 Hydrocone pills to an undercover officer and on another occasion Lunsford sold Marijuana to an undercover operative. The distribution of Hyrdrocone is a class “c” felony while selling this quantity of marijuana is a class “a” misdemeanor. Lunsford posted bond the day of her arrest in the amount of $5,000 and is scheduled to appear in Izard County Circuit Court on December 15. Shelby Lynn Johnson, age 23 of Strawberry who was arrested November 29 in Horseshoe Bend by Deputies Toby Smith, Richard Williams, and Mike Smith on drug charges following a traffic stop has been formally charged with five drug related offenses. Lawrence said the charges include possession of methamphetamine, possession of oxycodone, possession of hydrocodone, possession of alprazolam, and possession with the intent to use drug paraphernalia. One of the charges is a class ”b" felony, thee ae class “d” felonies, and one is a class “a” misdemeanor. Johnson posted bond in the amount of $50,000, released from the Izard County Detention Facility, and given a December 15 court date.
