ROBERT HOBBS TIMOTHY SWAIM
Robert James Hobbs, age 33 of Floral purchased items at a Melbourne convenience store and during the process dropped a small bag of methamphetamine on the floor. The bag was located by a store employee and Hobbs was identified on an in store video. Hobbs, a department of correction parolee was located on a construction site in Melbourne on March 18 and arrested for possession of methamphetamine, a class “d” felony. Hobbs remains in the Izard County Detention Facility on a no bond department of correction hold. When deputies affected the arrest on Hobbs at the construction work site, a companion worker was observed disposing of a bag of meth and a smoking device. The companion worker, Timothy Scott Swaim, age 36 of Batesville was arrested and charged with possession of meth, a class “d” felony, possession of drug paraphernalia for the purpose to use meth, a class “d” felony, tampering with physical evidence, a class “d” felony, and possession of marijuana, a class “a” misdemeanor. Swaim was released the following day from the Izard County Detention Facility after posting a $10,000 bond. Swain’s circuit court date is scheduled for April 21.
