04/27/2015 BROTHERS ARRESTED FOLLOWING ALTERCATION |

Around 2:00 a.m. Friday morning, Deputy Michael Smith was dispatched to an address in Horseshoe Bend to talk to a man who said someone appeared on his porch asking that an ambulance be called. When man went inside to call for an ambulance and when he returned, the man in the bloodied shirt was gone. Based on the description given to Deputy Smith, Smith surmised that the individual was a Richard White, age 41 of Melbourne who deputies encountered the night before and had transported to 1205 First Street in Horseshoe Bend. After observing blood on the floor of that residence, deputies entered to check the medical wellbeing someone in the house. After no one was located, a Horseshoe Bend resident noticing that deputies were searching the neighborhood, an individual stopped officers and asked if they were looking for someone who had sustained some injures and when officers responded yes, the indivdual told officer that he had been transported by private vehicle to the hospital in Salem The individual further stated that White told him that he had been attacked by his brother, Matthew Henry Winborn, age 34 of Eldorado. Initially Winborn was not at the location where he and his brother lived but in fact had fled from premises earlier, but later appeared and was arrested on charge of domestic battery and fleeing. Upon the release of White from the hospital, he too was arrested and charged with domestic battery.
Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that White and WInborn have been working in Horseshoe Bend on a roofing project.
The brothers were released from the Izard County Detention Facility after appearing before District Judge David E. Miller who gave them a May 5 court date. In another unrelated matters, Hassan Abdul Rayoum, age 33 of Horseshoe Bend was around midnight Sunday following a Horseshoe Bend traffic stop by Deputy Evan Jones and charged with driving while intoxicated. Rayoum remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $800 bond. Veronica Lee Beck, age 46 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested Saturday on a felony failure to appear warrant and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $10,000 cash bond. Austin Keith Stracener, age 28 of Melbourne was arrested Saturday on a failure to pay fines warrant and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $500 cash bond. Johna Newman, age 47 of Boling Air Force Base, District of Columbia was arrested Friday on a failure to appear warrant and posted bond the same day in the amount of $515 and was released from the Izard County Detention.
