Sgt. Gabe Sanders and Deputy Jason Jordan responded Saturday morning to a Franklin residence to answer a call that Eulib George Bible had accidentally shot himself.  Sheriff Tate said it was determined that Bible was attempting to exit the home, on a walker to enhance mobility, carrying the gun in his right hand.  Wanda May Bible, wife of Mr. Bible stated that her husband loved to shoot squirrels and was attempting to open the outside kitchen door when he called for her to assist him. The wife said that she proceeded to his location and the gun went off when she was about four or five feet from her husband. Izard County Coroner Eddie Howard pronounced eighty one year old Bible dead at the scene at approximately 11:50 a.m.
