JAMES LEIS JANELLE LUTE KATHY PANNELL A Franklin pair were arrested June 9 on charges of criminal trespass and theft of scrap metal. James Nathaniel Leis, age 51 101 South Main Street, Franklin along with fifty year old Janelle Linita of the same address are accused of unlawfully entering upon the property of another and loading scrap metal. Leis who is often jailed in Izard County, posted a cash bond Thursday in the amount of $1,000, released from the Izard County Detention Facility and given a June 18 district court date. Lute was released Friday after appearing before District Judge David E. Miller and given a June 18 court date. Jami Janelle Burroughs, age 38 of Larkin Road, Melbourne was arrested Wednesday night on the charge of domestic battering third degree. Burroughs is accused of getting into an altercation with her 16 year old daughter. Burroughs was released from the Izard County Detention Facility the following day and given a July 23 court date. Following a motor vehicle accident Thursday on Lafferty Road near Mt. Pleasant, Kathy Mae Pannell, age 55 of Capri Drive in Melbourne was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated, driving on a suspended license, and refusal to submit to a chemical test. Pannell, according to Sheriff Tate Lawrence has become a frequent guest of the Izard County Detention Facility where she remains on an $820 bond. Samantha Cooper, age 28 of Donkey Drive in Calico Rock was arrested June 6 on the charge of possessing an instrument of crime and is being held on a petition to revoke her probation/parole. Cooper remains in the Izard County Detention; Facility without bond. Thomas Branscum, age 32 also of Donkey Drive in Calico Rock was arrested June 6 on charges of unlawfully operating a motorcycle, fictitious auto plates, and having no insurance. Branscum is also being held on a no bond status pending a petition to revoke probation/parole hearing. Joseph Goodson, age 34 of Gorby Road, Calico Rock was arrested June 5 on the charge of theft of property. Goodson was released the day of his arrested after posting a $1,000 bond and given a June 18 court date. Marilyn Lynn Baker, age 41 of Mt. Pleasant was arrested June 6 on the charge driving while intoxicated-drugs. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said it appears that Baker was under the influence of her own prescription pain killers following a surgical procedure. Baker was released the day of her arrest and given a June 18 court date. Lewis Elmer Branscum, age 29 of Hummingbird Lane, Calico Rock was arrested June 5 on the charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle and a Baxter County warrant. Branscum was released the day of his arrest due to an extreme medical condition. Branscum is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on June 18. Brain Lyn Gibson, age 49 of 1311 North Bend Drive, Horseshoe Bend was arrested June 6 on the charge of driving with a suspended license. Gibson was released June 8 from the Izard County Detention Facility after posting a $400 cash bond and being given a June 16 Horseshoe Bend Court date. Deputy Toby Smith was the arresting officer. Jesse Lee Gates, age 37 of Melbourne was arrested June 10 on charges of possession of a controlled substance and driving on a suspended license. Gates appeared before District Judge David E. Miller June 12, was released from the Izard County Detention Facility and given a June 18 court date. Jordon Allen Cooper, age 18 of Morrison Street, Melbourne was arrested Friday on the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia (marihuana grinder). Cooper posted a cash bond the day of his arrest in the amount of $1,250, released from the Izard County Detention and given July 23 court date. Jessie Lee McChesney, age 33 of 4th Street, Calico Rock was arrested June 3 on failure to pay fines warrant. McChesney was released from the Izard County Detention after appearing before Judge Jim Short. McChesney was given a June 18 court date.
