JESSIE BREM JOHNNY SCHALES DUSTIN WOODS
A Calico Rock man was charged Friday on a felony forgery warrant. Jessie Lee Brem, age 26 is accused of forging checks on the account of an elderly lady whom he was a caregiver. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said it had been determined that Brem set up an Amazon account in his name using the victim’s bank account number and had made purchases against the account. Brem also opened a PayPal account using the victim’s information but under his name. It is likely, according to Sheriff Tate Lawrence that additional charges of this type may up may be filed as the investigation continues. Brem remains in the Izard County Detention Facility on this charge and a probation/parole hold. Forgery in the second degree is a class “c” felony. Johnny Schales, age 32 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested Thursday on the charge of forgery in the first degree, a class “b” felony. Schales is accused of giving a $100 counterfeit bill to a juvenile who passed the money at a Horseshoe Bend business. Schales told officers that he had the money as the result of work he had done with federal and county authorities in Little Rock. The story could not be substantiated. Schales posted a $10,000 bond the day of his arrested and was released with a circuit court date of January 25. Dustin Duane Woods, age 41 of Oxford was arrested December 8 on felony charges of aggravated assault on a family member and terroristic threatening second degree. These charges stem from a domestic situation with his son and wife. Woods is accused of firing a weapon into the floor and threatened to kill himself and others. Woods posted a $10,000 bond on Thursday and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility with a January 25 circuit court date. Tanya Tenelle White, age 39 of Mount Pleasant was arrested December 9 on the charge of fraudulent credit card us. White is accused of using a credit card inadvertently left by a customer at a Mt. Pleasant convenience store. White posted bond the day of her arrest in the amount of $200 cash and was released with a January 7 court date. Cory Robert Clouse, age 28 of Hardy was arrested early morning hours December 8 on charges of driving while intoxicated, driving on a suspended license, and driving left of center. Clouse appeared before District Judge David E. Miller and was released with a February 2 Horseshoe Bend court date. Stephen Mason Cagle, age 33 of Calico Rock was arrested Thursday when he appeared in Izard County District court to answer previous charges. Cagle’s Thursday arrest was the result of a petition to revoke probation. Cagle remains in the Izard County Detention Facility without bond. Kimberly Dawn Sanders, age 41 of Paragould was arrested December 9 on the charge of felony contempt of court. Sanders posted bond the following day in the amount of $1,475, released from the Izard County DetentionFacility and given a January 25 circuit court date. Mary Helen Messer, age 30 of Camp was arrested December 8 on charges of public intoxication, criminal trespass, and obstructing governmental operations. The obstruction charge was the result of Messer’s behavior during the booking process. Sheriff Tate Lawrence the behavior was influenced by illegal drugs.Messer posted bond December 10 in the amount of $1,460, released from jail, and given a February 2 Horseshoe Bend court date. Michael William Hanson, age 31 of Batesville was arrested December 7 on an Independence County warrant and later transported by authorities of that county. Troy Tran Burrow, age 52 was arrested on an out of county warrant December 7 and transported to Sharp County the same day. Jamie Woodcock, age 28 of Calico Rock who was earlier jailed and awaiting prison bed space was transported Thursday to Arkansas Department of Correction.
