A Batesville man, Brian Miller, age 30 who was arrested Sunday, December 27 on charges of fleeing and possession of an instrument of crime after he ran from deputies at a Melbourne nursing home has been additionally charged with violation of a protection order and terroristic threatening. The additional charges stem from Miller calling his estranged wife and threatening to kill her, her mom and her stepdad. Miller’s bond was increased to $3,840 and he remains in the Izard County DetentionFacility in lieu of that bond.
Christopher Allen Stills, Jr., age 32 of Rogers was arrested December 29 for contempt of felony court for failure to pay fines. Stills remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $25, 573 bond. Stills is scheduled to appear in circuitcourt on January 25.
An Oxford couple, Joe and Mika Alexander were arrested New Year’s Eve on the charge of domestic battering third degree. The charges stem from an argument over money that escalated to physical l altercation. Joe Alexander, age 41 was released from the Izard County DetentionFacility after posting $1,000 cash bond and given a January 7 court date. Mika Alexander, age 40 remains in jail in lieu of $1,000 bond with a scheduled court date of February 2.
Shani Lee Hooper, age 34 of Batesville was jailed December 28 on a petition to revoke probation. Hooper remains in the Izard County DetentionFacility without bond.
Deborah Renae McCollum, age 38 of Poughkeepsie was arrested December 29 on driving on a suspended license and having no liability insurance. McCollum posted bond the day of her arrest in the amount of $610, released from the Izard County DetentionFacility with a Horseshoe Bend court date of February 2.
Justin Patrick Smith, age 20 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested December 29 on the charge of wreckless driving. Smith posted bond the following day in the amount of $345, released from the Izard County DetentionFacility and given a Horseshoe Bend court date of February 2.
Frank Emerson Leggans, age 41 of Murphysboro was arrested January 2 for driving on a suspend license, careless driving, and having no liability insurance. Leggans who is scheduled to appear February 2 on Horseshoe Bend court remains inthe Izard County DetentionFelicity in lieu of $780 bond.
Another Horseshoe Bend resident, Mary Loren Launius, age 41 was arrested January 2 on the charge of possession drug paraphernalia. Launius remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $1,120 bond with a court date of February 2 in Horseshoe Bend.
Misty Lenay Mills, age 43 of Batesville was arrested December 30 on violation of Arkansas hot check law and three counts of theft of property, all class “a” misdemeanors. Mills remains in the Izard County DetentionFacility in lieu $1,597 bond with a scheduledcourt date of January 7.
River Yancey, age 20 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested New Year’s night on the charge of public intoxication. Yancey was slumped over on the passenger side of a vehicle parked near the fishing dock on Crown Lake, Horseshoe Bend. Yancey posted bond the day of his arrest in the amount of $200 and issued a Horseshoe Bend court date of February 2.
Danny Joe Miller, Jr., age 35 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested New Year’s Day on a failure to appear warrant. Miller posted bond the following day in the amount of $50, released and given a January 5 Horseshoe Bend court date.
Travis John Clary, age 31 of Pineville was arrested January on a failure to pay fines warrant. Clary remains in the Izard County DetentionFacility in lieu of $1,340 bond with a scheduled court date of January 7.
Curtis Jean Smith, 3rdwas arrested January 2 on a failure to pay fines warrant. Smith remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $745 cash bond. Smith’s scheduled court date is February 4.
