Dustin Duane Woods, age 41 of Violet Hill was arrested January 14 for allegedly violating a protection order previously issued in Izard County Circuit court. Woods remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $5,000 cash bond.  Woods is scheduled to appear in court January 25.Corporal Richard Williams was the arresting officer.

Dana Lee Jensen, age 28 of Viola was arrested in West Plains, Missouri and transported Friday by Deputy Steve Davidson to the Izard County Detention where she remains without bond pending a revoking of probation. Jensen is scheduled to appear in Izard County circuit court on February 16.

A Batesville man, forty nine year old Leon Blake Kelly was arrested January 11 on a felony failure to appear warrant. Blake remains jailed in lieu of a $10,000 cash bond. Kelly is scheduled appear in Izard County Circuit court January 25. Deputy Y. D. Whitehurst was the arresting officer.

Three individuals were arrested at a Melbourne shopping center after it was reported, according to Sheriff Tate Lawrence that they were soliciting food and possibly other items. David Michael Murphy, age 28 of El Cajon, California; Richard Zach Tiewski, age 24 of Denton, Texas; and Richard Paul Williams, age 32 of Lake Isabelle, California were each charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. All three remain in the Izard County Detention pending an appearance before a judge. Each have a January 21 court date.  Deputy Jaden Whitfield was the arresting officer.

Jordan Meadow’s, age 24 of Norfolk was arrested January 12 on the charge of theft of property. The charge stems from Meadows accused stealing a purse out of vehicle parked at a Calico Rock church. Jordanwas released January 14 after appearing before District Judge David E. Miller and was given a January21 court date. The arresting officer was Deputy Jayden Whitfield.

Sergeant Mark Simino arrested Paul Dobson Friday on a failure to pay fines warrant. Dobson remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of an $825 cash bond. Dobson is scheduled to appear in Horseshoe Bend court on February 2.

Two Izard County inmates who were awaiting bed space in prison were transported January 14 to the Arkansas Department of Correction. Transported were George Frederick Miller, age 50 of Evening Shade along with Steven William Chute, age 26 of Dolph.Deputy Jason Jordan was the transporting officer.
