A Melbourne woman, thirty six year old Jennifer Louise Quearry was arrested January 26 in Pulaski County on a theft of property warrant. Quearry was transported to Izard County by Deputy Evan Jones. Quearry is accused of taking items from their receiving are a (front porch) at the Manna House of Melbourne. Quearry was released from the Izard County DetentionFacility the following day, given a court date of February 18 and transported to Independence County on their felony and misdemeanor charges.

Following a report by his wife that Kristopher Engles was drunk and destroying items in their garage and beating on their house, Deputy D. J. Teirnan arrested the 27 year old of Guion  on the charge of disorderly conduct.Engles was released from the Izard County Detention Facility the following day after posting a $220 cash bond. Engles’ was given a court date of February 18.

Timothy Scott Derrickson, age 37 of Smithville was arrested at a Rose Street house in MelbourneThursday night following a call by a female saying she was in need of help. Deputies responded not knowing the total nature of her need and found that she had been assaulted by Derrickson who had barricaded himself in a closet. Derrickson gave up himself after deputies threatened to deploy the department’s K-9.  Derrickson was transported by Deputy Geoffrey Watts to the Izard County DetentionFacility where he remains pending a bond hearing.

Mathew Edward Gauger, age 29 of Gamaliel was arrested January 26 by ASP Trooper Villiger on charges of driving while intoxicated-drugs, careless driving, and having no vehicle registration nor insurance.Gauger remains in the Izard County DetentionFacility in lieu of $1,655 bond.

Lou Annelise Short, age 29 of Jonesboro was arrested in Craighead County on an IzardCountyfelony failure to appear warrant. Short remains in the Izard County DetentionFacility in lieu of a $10,000 fine with a circuit court date of February 16. Deputy Geoffrey was the transporting officer.

Lynn Eugene Young, age 54 of Oxford was arrested Friday on a failure to appear warrant and remains in the Izard County DetentionFacility in lieu of $830 cash bond. Sgt. Mark Simino was the arresting officer.

George Tunnicliff, age 51 of Dolph was arrested Friday by Sgt. Mark Simino on a failure to pay fines warrant and remains jailed in lieu of $475 cash bond.

Janessa Lynn Holcomb, age 31 of Salem was arrested January27 on a Fulton County warrant and transported to Salem.

Donathan Fizer Speak, age 41 of Pineville was arrested January 24 on charges of domestic batter and endangering the welfare of a minor-three counts. Speak is accused of getting into an altercation with his wife and physically throwing children out the house. Speak was released January 27 after appearing before District Judge David E.Miller and given a February 18 court date.

A traffic stop in Horseshoe Bend around midnight January 26 resulted in the arrest of the Darrell Matthew Johnson, age 25 of Salem. Johnson was charged with possession of a controlled substance-marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia-items used to process or store marijuana. Johnson was released from the Izard County DetentionFacility the following day after posting a $2,240 bond and given a March 1 court date. Cpl. Richard Williams was the arrested officer.

Deputy Toby Smith arrested Steve Oscar Davis of Horseshoe Bend January23 on the charge of driving on a suspended license.  Forty two year old Davis posted bond the day of his arrest in the amount of $365 cash, released and given a court date of March 1.

Richard Wayne Burrow, age 44 was arrested January 25 in Fulton County on an Izard County warrant for failure to pay fines. Burrow was transported by Deputy Foster to the Izard County DetentionFacility where he remains in lieu of a $764 cash bond. Burrow’s has a Horseshoe Bend court date of February 2.

Frank Cox, age 21 of Calico Rock and an Izard County inmate since October awaiting bed space in the Arkansas Department of Correction was transported Friday.
