            CALVIN WILSON                        ROY HENRY


Calvin Wilson, age 65 of Melbourne was jailed January 9 after being sentenced to the Arkansas Department of Correction on charges of possessing a controlled substance with the intent to deliver. Wilson will remain in the Izard County DetentionFacility until bed space becomes available in prison. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said Wilson’s upcoming stay in prison is not his first.

For the second time in the past month or so, Roy Odell Henry has been arrested on two counts of domestic battery. The 44 year old Henry who was arrested February by Deputy D. J. Teirnan is accused of an altercation with his son and daughter in law. Henry remains in the Izard County DetentionFacility in lieu of a $5000 bond with the date of March 3 to appear in court.

Shani Lee Hooper, age 34 of Batesville was arrested February 26 on a petition to revoke felony probation and is currently being held in the Izard County DetentionFacility.

Another frequent occupant of the Izard County Detention Facility, Shona Marie Crouch was arrested January 29  on two charges- terroristic threatening and battery. Thirty seven year old Crouch is accused of coming to another’s apartment at Quail Run and assaulting the apartment occupant and threatening to burn her house down. Independence County authorities made the warranted arrest.  Crouch appeared in district court on February 4.

Lamanda Gail Young, age 42 of Mountain View was arrested January 1 on warrant of Stone County where she was later transported.

Johnny Lee Cartwright, age 38 of Franklin was arrested Sunday night on the charge of driving while intoxicated-second offense. Cartwright remains in the Izard County DetentionFacility in lieu of $1,985 bond.

Jack Albert Knight, age 53 of Batesville was arrested Sunday night on a Stone County warrant. Knight posted bond at the time of his arrest and was released with a Stone County court.

Bradley McNealy, age 44 of Guion was arrested January 30 on a department of correction probation hold and remain in the Izard County DetentionFacility until a hearing is held.

An Oxford man, Matthew Steven Coffman, age 36 was arrested February 1 on an Independence County warrant and transported there the day of his arrest.

Joshua Sanders, age 37 of Dolph was arrested January 30 on criminal contempt charges and released February 1 after posting bond in the amount of $655 cash and given a February 16 court date.

Debra Marie Wilson previous from Horseshoe Bend but now living in Cherokee Village was arrested Friday on the charge of theft by deception. The charge stems from writing a check on a frozen or blocked account. The 57 year old was arrested by Deputy Doyle Cross and remains in the Izard County DetentionFacility in lieu of a $500 cash bond and has a February 18 court date.

During the night of February 3, 2016, John Waterman, age 41 of Batesville was arrested on the charge of possessing drug paraphernalia-smoking pipes. Workman remains in the Izard County DetentionFacility in lieu of a $2,370 bond. Cpl. Richard Williams issued a March 3 court date.

Mikeal Candler, age 36 of Melbourne was arrested January 30 by Cpl. Richard Williams on public intoxication charges. Candler was released the following day from the Izard County DetentionFacility after appearing before District Judge David E. Miller and will again appear on March 3.

Mary Helen Messner, age 31 on Horseshoe Bend was arrested February 2 on failure to appear warrant and released the same day after posting a $200 cash bond and given a March 1 Horseshoe Bend court date.

Robert James Langford, age 34 of Melbourne arrested on felony contempt court charges on February 3 and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $2,917 bond. Langford will appear in circuit court February 16.

John Lee James Morris, age 29 of Mountain Home was arrestedFebruary 3 on charges of driving with a suspended license and driving left of center. Morris was released the day he was arrested after posting a $535 bond and given a March 1 Horseshoe Bend court date. Deputy Toby Smith was the arresting officer.

Deputy D.J. Teirnan arrested Jesse Lee Gates, age 37 on a failure to appear warrant. Gates of Paragould remains jailed in lieu of a $1,905 bond with a March 3 scheduled court date.
