TIMOTHY COPES
Timothy Copes, age 35 of Wideman has been arrested once again on charges of domestic battery involving his wife. Copes was arrested “February 9 for allegedly hitting is wife in the face to include her nose and eye, and twisted her neck. Copes is also accused pushing the victim to the bed.The wife was taken to Baxter Regional for medical treatment.Sheriff Tate Lawrence said there was an incident a few months ago at which time Copes swung a machete at officers and an officer shot him. That case has not gone to trial. Copes remains in the Izard County DetentionFacility in lieu of a $2,500 cash bond and has a scheduled court date of February 18. Sgt. Mark Simino was the arresting officer. Justin Allen Jason, age 30 of Calico Rock was jailed February11 on a probation hold and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility pending a revocation hearing. Jonathan Lee Hall, age 33 of Viola was arrested February 11 for driving on a suspended license and for not having vehicle insurance. Hall remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $610 bond and a Fulton County hold. Hall’s scheduled Horseshoe Bend court date is April 15. Deputy Mike Smith was the arresting officer. Kenneth Edward Harmon, age 47 of Franklin was arrested February 9 on a failure to appear warrant. Harmon presented himself to the sheriff’s office in response to knowing he had a warrant. Harmon remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a cash bond in the amount of $270. Billy Joe Powell, age 34 of Calico Rock was arrested February 9 on a felony criminal contempt court warrant. Powell was released for medical reasons the following day with a February 16 Circuit Court date.
