A Melbourne man and woman were arrested Wednesday morning following the execution of a search warrant on their apartment. Clifton Resonno, age 23 and  Demetria Early, age 26 were both charged with possession of a schedule VI narcotic with the intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia while Resonno was additionally charged with another count of delivery of a narcotic.

Information was developed by law enforcement that large quantities of marijuana was being sold out of apartment D-4 of Quail Run Apartments in Melbourne. Upon entry of the apartment, deputies of the Izard County Sheriff’s Department and agents of the 16th Judicial District Drug Task Force immediately noticed a heavy smell ofmarijuana throughout the small apartment. Inside a closet in the bedroom, agents located a large plastic tote that contained  glass jars and large plastic bags containing a green vegetable substance that field tested positive for marijuana .In various containers in the closet were items used to ingest marijuana along with a set of digital scales used to weigh marijuana. Inside a woman’s purse was a glass jar containing marijuana and a pill bottle also containing the substance Inside a small safe in the bedroom, $1,200 in cash and a saving bond were located. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that he believes that Resonno, who is from Batesville, has been a major supplier of drugs in the area and had been operating out of the Quail Run Apartments.

In the living room, a glass jar containing a green vegetable substance was located in the console of the couch, was located containing some $555 in cash.

Resonno posted bond the following day in the amount of $15,000 and Early posted bond in the amount of $5,000.

 Both were released from the Izard County DetentionFacility and given February 16 Circuit Court date.
