Izard County Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that James Perry Knott known to have previously resided in the Calico Rock/Dolph area is wanted on a federal warrant. Knott is described as a white male, 51 years old, 6 ft. 4 inches tall, hazel eyes and brown hair. Anyone having information as to Knott’s whereabouts is asked to contract the Izard County Sheriff’s Department at 870-368-4203.

 Felony charges have been filed against a jail trustee for and public intoxication and for making home brew.  Jacob Anthony Frey, age 26 of Melbourne was assigned to the jail kitchen as a cook. Sheriff Lawrence said Frey used oranges and sugar and water to make the intoxicating drink. Frey is facing furnishing prohibited articles to a facility charge which is a class “b’ felony. Freys bond from a precious arrest has also been revoked. Bond for the present charge is $10,000 cash. Frey has a March 21 circuit court date.

 Tadd Coltier Hickerson, age 27 of Melbourne and Anqelique Marie Gibson, age 24 also of Melbourne were arrested Saturday and is being held in the Izard County DetentionFacility on a criminal investigation hold. Hickerson and Gibson are alleged to have sold scheduled narcotics to an undercover operative of the Izard County Sheriff’s Department. Formal charges are expected.

 Michael Lee McIntire, age 27 of HorseshoeBend was arrested Sunday on the charge of public intoxication. McIntire remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $220 bond and has a Horseshoe bend scheduled court date of April 5. Deputy Toby Smith was the arresting officer.

 John Andrew Battles, age 19 of Sidney was placed in the Izard County Detention Facility after being released from the Independence County Jail. Battles bond from a previous arrest was revoked due to criminal activity in Independence County.

 Daniel Wayne Dwight, age 26 of Mountain Home was arrested February 22 on felony contempt of court chargesand for conduct while in the Izard County Detention Facility was additionally charge with disorderly conduct and obstructing governmental operations.

 Brandon Lee Rouse, age 26 of Salem was arrested February 24 for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. Rouse posed bond in the amount of $2,370 the following day and released from the Izard County Detention; Facility with an April 4 Horseshoe Bend court date.  Jamie Nicole Loosey, age 28 of Oxford was arrested on a contempt of court warrant and remains is the Izard County Detention Facility with a $910 cash bond and a scheduled circuit court date of March 21 . Deputy Geoffrey Watts was the arresting officer.

 Travis Lee Cagle, age 36 of Calico Rock was arrested February 25 and placed on a probation holed without bond.

 William Joseph Carter, age 23 of Melbourne was jailed on a probation violation February 24 and posted a $250 cash bond the following day and released from the Izard County Detention Facility with an April 7 court date remains in the Izard County Detention Facility without bond.

 A Melbourne couple, Joshua Michael Pitman, age 34 and his wife Amanda Elizabeth Pitman, age 35 both of Melbourne were arrested around midnight Saturday during a traffic stop. Both were charged with passion of a controlled substance-marijuana and possession of drug paraphernal. The female was additional charged with possession of controlled medication without a prescription.  The couple appeared before District Judge David W. Miller on Sunday, was released with a court date of April 7. Deputy Mike Foster was the arresting officer.

 Stephen Mason Cagle, age 33 of Calico Rock and Barton Monroe Teague, age 29 of Jonesboro   have been jailed since December 2015 and had been awaiting bed space in the Arkansas Department of Correction was transported February 23.
