According to Chief Deputy Charley Melton, on October 26, Deputy J Barnes made a traffic stop on a vehicle on Rolling Lane in Horseshoe Bend. The driver of the vehicle was identified as James Brink, age 36 of Hardy. During the stop a firearm was located that was reported stolen out of Louisiana. It was also learned that Brink had been convicted of a felony out of Sharp County for theft of property on September 30, 2020. Brink was charged with possession of firearms by certain person; a class D felony, and theft by receiving; a class D felony. Brink's bond was set at $10,000 professional Brink appeared in the Izard County Circuit Court on October 28.

On October 28, Dustin Brown, age 44 of Mount Pleasant, was arrested on probation violations. Once in jail, Brown had pills on his person. Brown was charged with furnishing prohibited articles; a class B felony, and as a habitual offender. Brown's bond was set at $20,000 professional with a court date in the Izard County Circuit Court of November 17.

On October 27, David Smart, age 54 of Horseshoe Bend, was arrested by Probation/Parole for parole violations and bond violations. Smart appeared in the Izard County Circuit Court on October 28.
