According to Chief Deputy Charley Melton, on March 13 Deputy J Barnes was patrolling South Bend Drive in Horseshoe Bend when a white truck with one tail light illuminated passed heading Southbound on South Bend Drive. Deputy Barnes stopped the truck on Ivory Lane and made contact with the driver Bobby Hubbard, age 36 of Pineville. During the stop it was learned that Hubbard was on active supervision with the Arkansas Community Corrections and he had a search waiver on file. Deputy Barnes then asked Hubbard to exit the vehicle before he conducted a vehicle search. When Hubbard exited the vehicle, Deputy Barnes asked him if he had anything illegal on his person or in the vehicle. Hubbard stated that he had marijuana in the center console in a blue tube. When Deputy Barnes conducted the vehicle search, he found what resembled the look and smell of marijuana in a blue tube. Deputy Barnes also found a syringe with a cloudy liquid inside in the center console. Further in the search Deputy Barnes found a NOS energy drink can with energy drink still inside with three syringes and two small plastic baggies and an open bottle of drinking alcohol. When Deputy Barnes removed the baggies there was a crystal-like substance inside both the clear baggie and the blue baggie that resembled the look of methamphetamine. Deputy Barnes also found a small plastic bag with and unidentified pill in the back side of the center console and two pair of brass knuckles.

The two small plastic baggies containing a residue field tested positive for methamphetamine along with the liquid in the hypodermic syringes with a liquid residue that field tested positive for the presence of Methamphetamine.

As a result of the traffic stop Hubbard as charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, a class "d felony. He is scheduled to appear in the Izard County Circuit Court on March 30. Hubbard was also charged with defective equipment, open container of alcohol, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a prohibited weapon. He is scheduled to appear in the Izard County District Court on April 6. His bond was set at $5,000 professional. Due to Hubbard being on active supervision, a probation/parole hold was placed on him.

On March 17 Deputy Chase Tomlinson and Sgt Mike Smith made a traffic stop on a White Mercury Mariner with no license plate on Hawk Drive and Highway 289 in Horseshoe Bend. The vehicle was being operated by Zachary Montgomery, age 36 of Horseshoe Bend. During the traffic stop Sgt Smith learned that Montgomery had a warrant for his arrest out of Fulton County and was on probation with Arkansas Community Corrections with a search waiver on file. During a search of Montgomery, Sgt Smith found a green leafy vegetable substance and a smoking device on his person. Montgomery told the deputies that he had a glass smoking device, and that it is between the seat and center console.

The smoking device was located and it contained a usable amount of a crystalline substance. The crystalline substance in the smoking device field tested for methamphetamine.

As a result of the traffic stop Montgomery was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia; a class "d" felony, and possession of a controlled substance; a class "d" felony. Montgomery is scheduled to appear int the Izard County Circuit Court on March 30. He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, no vehicle license, and no proof of insurance. He is scheduled to appear in the Izard County District Court on April 6. His total bond was set at $12,860 for all the charges.

On March 15 Travis McGraw, age 36 of Mount Pleasant, was arrested by Deputy Toby Smith for domestic battery 3rd degree and three counts endangering the welfare of a minor. He appeared in the Izard County District Court on March 18.

On March 16 Hannah Stevens, age 20 of Horseshoe Bend, was arrested on a failure to appear warrant out of the Izard County District Court. She appeared in the Izard County District Court on March 18.

On March 16 Melissa Williams, age 50 of Melbourne, was arrested by Sgt. Steve Davidson on a warrant for failure to appear out of the Izard County District Court. She appeared in the Izard County District Court on March 18.

On March 20 Trysten Martz, age 21 of Cushman, was arrested by Deputy Toby Smith for possession of a controlled substance. He is scheduled to appear in the Izard County District Court on April 22.

On March 20 Kaylee Mensman, age 27 of Horsehoe Bend, was arrested by Deputy J Barnes for domestic battery 3rd degree. She is scheduled to appear in the Izard County District Court on May 11.

On March 21 Shawn Branscum, age 46 of Batesville, was arrested by Deputy Toby Smith on a warrant out of the Izard County District Court for failure to appear. He is scheduled to appear in the Izard County District Court on April 8.
