As a result of an incident that took place at a residence in Sage on October 17 where a 17-year-old male was shot, a warrant for Jonathan Christian Torres, age 19 of Melbourne, was issued out of the Izard County Circuit Court, charging him with battery 1st degree, a class "b" felony.

On October 20 at approximately 11:00 p.m., information led deputies with the Izard County Sheriff's Department and the Arkansas State Police to a residence in Mount Pleasant. Torres was located and taken into custody without incident. Torres is being held with no bond and a court date of October 23 in the Izard County Circuit Court.
